I've noticed a vast amount of age nine to age twelve year olds on myspace.I would have no problem with it execpt these children go around calling people names like "non-stop eating fat cunt".Yes,I'm aware adults say that kind of garbage too.The same thing goes for youtube.I just wish that todays parents of young,disresptful children would be strong enough to say "NO" to their little ingrates.These children need to realize they make the good kids look bad.

I think with all the advaced settings on there now (like people not being able to message you unless they're your friend or know your last name, etc) makes it safer for those who are younger. I would ONLY allow my younger kids, if I had them, to have a MySpace as long as I always knew their password and was allowed to make sure those setting were always on.

I think younger than 13 is ridiculous and 13 itself is pushing it. I understand young teens want to network and chat with their friends but its too creepy and dangerous for them to be on unsupervised. It's nice that MySpace automatically blocks profiles of 14 and younger but who says a 13 year old can't say they're 18 to beat the system? I wouldn't risk it if I had a daughter or son.

MySpace is 14 and up. That's one more year than is required by COPPA. Even saying that parents don't know all the safety guides that are available for them. And a lot of parents don't ask their kids about it.

In any case, I would report those profiles.
