Sounds like my brothers...both of them! Try that times two and one of them is 39 and the other is 25. The 25-year-old has NEVER worked...ever. And has 2 children.

That's why I would avoid them. It sucks but it just infuriates me. It's not worth stress of dealing with them imo. I'd stick to major holidays and talking on the phone. If they start talking about him, change the subject.

My family isn't quite that bad because none of my sisters are real fuck-ups, but sometimes I resent how much my parents pay for my sisters just because my sisters live in the same area as my parents. And it's no one's "fault" but my own because if I lived there, they'd treat me to meals and take me shopping and everything as well, but because I can't stomach living there, I miss out on all the extra cash.

I thought they would have learned by now. They've been limping him along like this since he's been 18-years old. Through all of the having kids with random girls, stints of horrible drug use, leaving his 8-month pregnant wife and 3-year old son.......

There probably is a warrant out for him. He got caught driving after suspension last fall I think, and didn't pay the fine and didn't appear for court. I run him in the system every now and then, just to make sure there's not. There may be a bench...

I feel the same way about my brother and it is starting to put a strain on things between my parents and me. I just see them paying for everything and handing him 100 dollar bills and taking care of rent ALL The time and then as I fill out my student loan application because I pay for everything now by myself I feel a bit bitter. Mom says they give him more because he is the "needier" child so he "needs" it but I am the responsible one so I can be on my own.

It's so horrible. He's so gross, too..... he wears the same pants like 5 days in a row, and he stinks SO BAD!

I honestly don't think I would have been able to stomach sitting the backseat of a car with him all day anyways. I would have either ended up saying something to him about his stench, or throwing up from it.
