I have an education (that I paid over $50k for, after grants), 10+ years of corporate experience doing what I do, which is fairly specialized. I also happen to be damned good at what I do and know it.

Now, the only real hourly 'wage' I get is through lecturing. I'm a financial lecturer and although I do a lot of stuff for free and for Universities, I charge $1000/hr for industry lectures. Mainly for brokers and fund traders.

My real income comes from my trading though. I'm a trader and make a 7 figure income every year and work anywhere from 0 - 4 hours a day.
