That's really weird. Why not just adopt if you can't have a baby but really want one rather than buying a doll?

People do it for different reason's. You don't have the responsibility of the everyday child but yet you can take it out everyday and get the look's and the aww's of people on the street. If you check out youtube there's a documentry on people who have/collect these and treat them like real babies. Changing their cloth's daily and taking them out to walk's in pram's.

This woman who comes into my work has one of those dolls. It looks so freakishly real. The woman was telling me how she has a bedroom set up for it like it has its own nursery, clothes, cot, capsule in the car and it sits in the high chair at meal times and everything. Creepy.

as well as those who can't or don't want to have actual children. Some of these dolls come complete with beating hearts and an apparatus that makes them appear to breathe.
