The DVD of Sparkle is a little crap though. It's just the movie, which looks a bit grainy, and a trailer. Damn, did Warner Bros. throw out anything else to do with the movie, including stereo recording sessions? (The sound is in mono.) In Sparkle, the announcer accidentally introduces the group as The Farts, not The Hearts. In Dreamgirls, the guy says The Creamettes instead of The Dreamettes.

Yeah, the success of the movie inspired the Broadway production of Dreamgirls. That's where the name Effie came from, too.
