We're supposed to separate foods, chemicals and cloth items.

I blame customers for that. I have seen or heard about so many customers going into hysterics if stuff "touches" or unlike things are put together.

Oh, I didn't know that. That explains why the Snickers bar wasn't with the heat damage spray.

I don't get that at all. I can understand why someone might want a cloth item in a separate bag than something with liquid in it, though.

When I first started Target I would bag as efficiently as I possibly could but then people would bitch for every little thing so I started being
more careful. And then of course, people would bitch at me for that too.

I'm all about the environment and not throwing away plastic bags, so I like as few as possible. If I buy one or two things, I usually say I don't
want a bag at all because I can carry them out without a receipt. I should get reusable bags. (I'd never complain about how my items are bagged, though -
I'm not that type of customer.)

I had a woman freak out on me one time in Uscan because I put a package of hamburger and snack cakes in the same bag. Now, the hamburger was one of those
really airtight prepackaged deals and the snack cakes were not only enclosed by the BOX but also each individual cake was wrapped in airtight plastic. Are you
really telling me somehow the blood would go through one plastic barrier through a box and then into more plastic barriers????
I know most of JJB will probably agree with the woman though |

It seems wasteful but in theory I think it makes sense, especially with all the liability these days.

The only things I want separate are meat products and cleaning supplies. The rest, I don't care
OH and bread |

For me it isn't a worry with the products you put together because either other one is sealed. It is the mess. I use reusable bags and I still put meat into plastic because if there is an issue I just want to be able to toss the bag in the recycling and not have to worry about cleaning up the mess or scrubbing a bag or even my car. |

I'm always telling the baggers "oh just throw it all in one bag!" sometimes they listen, sometimes they don't. I should start bringing in my
little tote bag.

I have never in my life seen a prepackaged bit of meat "make a huge mess"
Ever. Now, I have seen freshly wrapped do it and I agree with that, but I have to think the prepackaged is more just hysterics that never really happens |

would come up with like a $100+ of groceries then give me one little tote bag. And, they'd refuse to take anything in plastic bags.
