yes. I remember at the hospital I worked at we had 4-5 patients per nurse.

When I worked the floor after I graduated, I had 10-15 patients, but I was paired with an LPN. 12 patients just for yourself is a LOT.

Yes!! Ours complain when they have 8, they usually have 6 at the most. I know that in the placements we've done we've only ever had 4. I guess it
depends how needy they are and what area you're in though.

I'm primary nurse on my run with 12 patients with 2 CNAs.
I'm scared, man. They're working me up to it. I'll have 6 on Tuesday. It will be my 3rd day on the floor alone. |
