I have had a splitting headache for about a week now and nothing is working. I've been getting headaches constantly for awhile now but this has been the
worst so far. I have taken ibuprofen, bayer extra strength, & excedrin migraine - not all at once. Nothing is getting rid of it. I can't get in to
see my doctor until June 6th. I've been to a nurse practitioner & a doc in the box and they didn't do anything. I don't know what to do
anymore.

My mom had a headache for a week straight and it was from clenching her teeth when sleeping. Her dentist had her get a mouth piece to use when sleeping and she
hasn't had any problems since then.

I know I used to grind my teeth when I slept (I had a retainer that was a mold of my teeth and I wore holes in it constantly) would that do the same as
clenching?

It could. She had seen the chiropractor, her regular physician, etc. and it was finally her dentist who figured out what the problem was.

If you've had a headache for a week, please go to the ER. That isn't normal and they can knock it out pretty quick (normally within a few hours). Then
keep your appt with your regular doctor so they can prescribe you something stronger than OTC for when it happens again.

I used to use Imitrex and liked it but I tried Excedrin Migraine and it works really well for OTC.
