Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon is the best song on the album. The lyrics are fantastic.

Celebrity-USA is AMAZING. The lyrics are just so deep and so meaningful. Such a beautiful song.
I am still trying to interpret what it means. I kind of get what it is about. They should definetly release that song in the future!I want to see a music video for it. |

"Happily Never After" was also recorded by Nicole Scherzinger from PCD, and it will be on HER album not BSB's.

I don't know if his mention is wishful thinking or if he will actually be involved.
http://www.yod2007.org/en/NewsEvents...r_Florida.html PIER2PIER - Students' initiative for wild dolphins in Florida Jamie Aquino, a Journalism teacher at the Plantation High School in Florida, has started a program, named PIER2PIER, whereby students raise awareness of perils wild dolphins are threatened by. The first step will be... ...the designing of a website featuring a video message from a select group of Journalism students, which will feature current information about wild dolphin issues in Florida and worldwide as well as a video of real wild dolphins swimming in the ocean. Furthermore, they will create an online newsletter with contact information that will be delivered to all public high schools throughout Florida and selected businesses, organizations and private individuals who stand to benefit most from the information. The importance of protecting wild dolphins and manatees will be highlighted by the fact that the project will appear in a public service announcement (PSA) to be distributed to every high school in Florida. Christopher Simmons, a wide receiver on the Plantation High football team, has written a rap song about wild dolphins. Ms. Aquino has a volunteer videographer who is going to shoot a rap video featuring both the students and celebrity guests as Nick Carter and Soulja Boy.
Aside from that, the students want to challenge students at other high schools in Florida to boost the awareness on dolphin issues. The winner will receive a prize, recognition and the chance for the campaign to be featured on the website. Eventually, Ms. Aquino and her students will be raising funds to help wild dolphins. One possible recipient is the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution in FT. Pierce, Florida, which is going to build a state of the art mammal stranding centre. Another one could be the DolphinSMART program in the Keys. Partners of PIER2PIER are NMFS, WDCS and the Florida State Fish and the Wildlife Conservation Commission. |

FinalHeartbreak wrote:Here's the review I put up on LD... This album is not another millenium cuz that cant be duplicated. As a whole, i love it. This is what never gone shoulda been, but it is not a milennium still, track by track... Into - I love the acapella, it is about time they put one on an album and bookending was a creative idea with that song. 10/10 Everything But Mine - Great song, love the beat. It doesnt sound as crazy now that its in better quality. this needs to be a single at one point, i can actually see this getting into top 40 radio. They finally learned beats arent a bad thing 10/10 Inconsolable - album filler. Pretty vocals, not a bad song, but it's something that could have been done in 1999. I think they were stupid for having this as the first single now that I know what is on the album. Not their best. 5/10 Something That I Already Know - The better version of Inconsolable. But it sounds too similar thanks to that one line. The bridge/ending really are what makes the song, good, but album filler...still better than Inconsolable. 7/10 Helpless When She Smiles - this song shouldn't be here. It's weak, it's a reject sounding song from never gone. now that it's next to all these other songs? sounds like total crap. Worst song of the album, I will always skip it.3/10. Any Other Way - compared to the demos, it's a mess. Its a cut and paste job of the earlier recordings of it. But non fans won't hear the demos, so it doesnt matter as much. it's got a neat little beat to it, and it is still a fun song. They shouldn't have put Howie on the bridge however. Bad move. But they're experimenting, it reminds me of like a Maroon 5 song. Points for trying. 8/10
One In A Million - This is a song I never once expected to come from BSB. I was happily surprised. Another song that gave me a maroon 5 vibe. its funky, fun,
and different. this should be a single, itll no doubt attract attention. Great job boys, you're got more creative. 10/10
Panic - another one i didnt expect. Nick is perfect for the song for ju7st how he sings "panic" and the rhymes with it. Another fun song that makes me wanna move to it. They shouldnt have slowed it down on the bridge, but theyre giving an effort and its showing. 9/10 You Can Let Go - For a ballad, i like it. Its a light ballad, not some depressing mess. AJ sounds great. bsb are known for their ballads for a reason. I can see this as say a 3rd single? something after the uptempos. 8/10 Trouble Is - my first reaction to this was "who is that in the beginning? *skims back* omg is that howie?" the fact it got me to react like that tells me that they're letting howie show his range a little more. its got a definite country/bluesy vibe to it. This song can actually have crossover appeal. Im digging the blues vibe. 9/10 Treat Me Right - Why wasnt this the first single? Its catchy, upbeat but not too extreme. Good vocals, and you can so see jc's influence in the song. I even saw something Timbaland would do in the breakdown (doubt it was him...anyone know who it is?) Which despite bsb fan opinion is a good thing if you look at popular radio. This is a must for the next single. JC needs to work with bsb more if this is the result. 10/10 Love Will Keep You Up All Night - Even though this song isn't all that complicated, I like it. Its simplicity does it for me. Not the best song, an album filler for many. still, i like the simplicity of the vocals with piano in the beginning. 7/10 Unmistakable - the fact its has that rnb feel is great. This feels of the bsides of never gone. the bridge is amazing, and the clips didn't do it justice. second best ballad on the album. 9/10 Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon - as a beatles fan, I can see the influence. It's different with that, but yet holds the feel BSB has. I can see why theyre proud of this song. Best ballad of the album. 10/10 bonus songs : Downpour - this should have been on there in place of hwss. period. Haunting yet not in a depressing way, actually in a hopeful way, the melody itself is lovely. this shouldnt be a bside - 10/10 In Pieces - sort of rockpopish, but still isnt lacking harmony. This is in its right place as a bside, but still on the album. far from the worst song on the album though. 7/10 Nowhere To Go - that clip from HOC made me scared of this song being an NG reject. I think it's the lyrics that capture me, but capture me it does. 8/10 Overall this is one of their best albums. I'm impressed and they were trying new things. songs that are more top 40 in today's time, country feeling songs, rnb, pure pop, and the rock-pop but without the lack of harmony ala ng. Nick definitely has more control of his voice, he sounds so good now. AJs own voice soars, but you can still see the affects of his smoking. Howie suprised me with his voice and got a lot more vocal time and I can really see why. And I'm not the biggest fan of his voice solo wise. Brian sounds good, yet I wish his voice could really break out and belt like he has before. He doesn't do that much on this album. he sounds great all the same but its something i expect as a fan. overall album grade 8/10 Not perfect, but has much potential if they
keep following this path on later albums.

I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet and I don't have time to look since I need to get ready for work, but Backstreet will be taping their
appearance for Regis and Kelly on 10/30 which will then air on 10/31. I just wanted to make sure everyone knows this since I know some were going down to
the studio on 10/31 to try to see them. And yes this is official cause I have tickets to their performance and spoke directly to someone at the show.

'New' band takes Backstreet to studio, tourLarry Rodgers
The Backstreet Boys are back - again - celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of their first album in America.
The only surviving "boy band" from the late-'90s heyday of that genre, the group has reunited for a second time and created a more mature sound for its fifth studio album, Unbreakable, in stores Tuesday. The former quintet has lost its oldest member, singer-pianist Kevin Richardson, 36, who opted out to spend time with his wife and baby boy. Two members of the 2007 quartet have passed age 30 (Howie Dorough, 34, and Brian Littrell, 32) and two have yet to hit the milestone (AJ McLean, 29, and Nick Carter, 27) that seems so ancient to the teenyboppers who were Backstreet's core audience. Littrell is also a husband and father, Dorough is engaged, McLean has successfully completed drug rehab and Carter remains the "baby" who weathered his own storm, a 2004 relationship with Paris Hilton. Despite the passage of time and the ups and downs of the adult world, the bandmates sound re-energized and relaxed as they prepare to tour the world in support of Unbreakable. "We are born entertainers. We're hams; we love the attention," Littrell told reporters on a recent conference call. Dorough added, "During the downtime that we had . . . especially coming off the accelerated pace that we all were in back at the height of everything . . . I think everybody can say there's an itch within you to want to do something." It's not that they twiddled their thumbs in the two breaks they've taken since their popularity peaked with 2000's Black & Blue album, which sold a stunning 1.5 million copies in its first week of release. (The band claims 75 million in total worldwide sales.) Carter released a rock-flavored solo CD, 2002's Now or Never, and starred in a 2006 E! channel reality series, House of Carters. Littrell has become a successful contemporary-Christian artist, scoring a No. 1 hit single on his debut solo album, Welcome Home. Dorough established the Dorough Lupus Foundation to honor his sister, who died of the disease in 1998, and to raise funds for a cure. McLean occasionally performs solo in rock clubs and is active in charity work. But it seemed evident at the band's last reunion show in the Valley, in 2005, that making music together remains a favorite activity. "What you saw in Phoenix is a kind of rekindling of the fire, because it is in our blood," Littrell said. "I think over the years, as we've grown together, we've learned to value one another." The four know the value of the lush harmonies that took them to stardom with such songs as I Want It That Way, As Long As You Love Me and Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely, and they dial them in throughout their new album. But the CD also features much more solo singing than before, with the group joining in on choruses. "We decided to go a little bit more organic and strip down (with) a whole lot less harmonies and more of a pop-rock realm," McLean said. The album's first single, a midtempo power ballad called Inconsolable, shows the new subtle rock edge that much of the album has taken on. The singers don't bust out any of their famous dance moves in the video for Inconsolable (which can be viewed at thebackstreetboys.com). But Carter said tour rehearsals find the group "dancing . . . like we've never danced before." (U.S. tour dates remain to be set.) The only difference onstage, Littrell added, is needing to "get through the soreness first, before we can hopefully look good. Take some Advil." The Backstreet Boys know they'll never regain the arena-filling power of their heyday - they played for 5,000 at Phoenix's Dodge Theatre in 2005 - but they sound happy to be back in the game. They're all multimillionaires and certainly don't have to be recording and performing. "It's really kind of refreshing to still be doing this and to have a whole new outlook on our careers," McLean said. "We're hoping to stick around for another 15 years, and then another 15 after that."
