If so, what one? And what side effects do you have?

Yes, I'm on Lexapro. I was trying to get myself off of it, but I was so dizzy I had to start taking it again.

I was on Lexapro but didn't like the side effects so I switched to Zoloft.

I'm on Wellbutrin and it's been amazing for me. The only side effects I had were that I had ZERO appetite for weeks (I lost like 8 lbs in the first two
weeks) and night sweats. But that went away after like 3 weeks. I've had mild depression for years but kind of ignored it until I totally bottomed out last
fall. I didn't get out of bed for like a week straight, no lie. I feel awesome now, though.

Carolyn, I took that and had to stop because of the sweating. It wasn't just at night, it was all the time. I couldn't function anywhere I went because I was always so hot and sweaty. I need to find one that has mild side effects and one that won't make me dependant on it. I'm just so afraid of side effects like the sweating and headaches (two I've dealt with the most) that it's scared me off of taking meds. But I'm in desperate need of one, fast, and I want to compile a list to take when I see a doctor so I can discuss all of them with him/her. |

I'm on Zoloft and have been for...almost 10 years now. My only side effects are a pretty consistent loss of appetite and drowsiness.

You didn't gain weight? I did which sucks because that pill worked for me. The best year I can ever remember having in my life was when I took that. And I
tried it again sometime after and gained weight again.

I have an abnormally fast metabolism, and some difficulties gaining weight. I had kinda been hoping it would make me heavier though

No and I am surprised that so many people are. What did people do before anti-depressants were invented? Or have they always been around?

I'm taking Lexapro but for my anxiety.
I kept having anxiety attacks and my chest was closing up. Since I have been taking those, I have had a
lot less attacks.

I take a very low dosage of lexapro for my anxiety, too. When I first started taking it it made me extremely sleepy so I had to figure out the perfect time of
day for me to take it. I usually take it at night now and sleep like a baby.
I guess I gained some weight when I started taking it a few years ago, but half the reason I started taking it was because my life was falling apart, so I'm sure there was some extra eating that I was responsible for all on my own. I have no complaints. |

I take Zoloft and my side effect is it keeps me awake. I take mine in the morning. When I started taking it I lost weight and made my stomach hurt, but that
subsided in a month

I was put on Celexa after I had a panic attack that put me in the hospital. They thought I was having a heart attack. After they did a cardiac catheterization
and found out my heart was ok my doctor started to treat me for anxiety. I was on it until about 3 years ago. I didn't want to go back to that doctor so I
just ran out. The panic attacks started up again about a year and a half after that.
People think its ok to take a pain reliever for a headache but want to make snide remarks about "everyone being medicsted" like its what's wrong with the world. If it keeps fewer people from being depressed and/or suicidal what's the problem? The only side effects are crazy ass dreams. I missed them when I was off them. Love having them back.
