He wasn't trying to even hit them with the gun, though. He just wanted to scare them.

If he shot somebody he's probably lucky he only got sixteen years. Who wants somebody like that walking the streets?
It's only minor mitigation that he was robbed by these people - assuming that's not a fabrication. |

This guy I grew up with had the same kind of thing happened.... it was a drug deal gone bad, he wanted to "scare him" didn't shoot him, but at
him.
THEN the guy he shot at OD's and dies.... it still goes to trail, and he wouldn't accept the plea deal of 5 years... ended up getting sentenced to 25 years so he won't be out of jail until he's 46 years old... so sad. |

Instead of handling things the right way, he did it the dumbass way. This is what happens when you handle it the dumbass way!

I don't think anyone is saying the other parties involved aren't criminals or whatever but they aren't the one's who shot a gun randomly into a
house. What if there was a kid in the house that he didn't know about? Someone who had nothing to do with the incident could've easily been harmed.

That sucks that they robbed him first and that him shooting through their window was merely an attempt to scare them in return, but damn. Shooting through a
window is dangerous --- he could have easily hit someone and he must have realized that when he did it. 16 years is still extreme but....
