She's wanted one since she was 16 and my grandma always refused and said she would have none of that in her family. Which is why all of us only have one hole in each ear, hell I got in trouble for having fake tattoo's on. So finally Friday she was at the jewelers and was like fuck it and got a second hole in each ear with some studs but didn't tell my grandma. And lastnight my uncle ratted her out and lmfao you all should have seen my grandma. She got so pissed. She was like what?! stop joking! show me! Malanova! And kept trying to pull them out That same uncle once walked into my grandmas wearing fake magnetic earrings and she went up to them and ripped them off (thank god they weren't real!) and chased him out of the house with a wooden spoon. Man I love my grandma

My grandma is a 78 year old woman who is still acts straight off the boat from a small town in Italy. She doesnt like anything "improper" in her eyes. She's so cute, I love it.

Who gives a flip if any of you have a few extra piercings. She needs to live her own life & respect the lives of others to do what they want. A second set of piercings neither breaks her back or picks her pocket. If I had a relative who went after me like that I'd stay away from them until they learned to mind their own business. Sorry, but I don't find it funny.

She was mad at first but then she decided it's my body and life and it's not the end of the world and she got over it.

Different culture, different things that are "accepted" and "not accepted". No one else in my family is all like omgz a second piercing. It's my grandma. Well my mom doens't like them either because she happens to think it doesn't look good. I think Marissa is the only one that understands my family around here. And lmfao I think my grandpa would kill me too if I walked in with a tattoo

Not everyone that lives in this country is the same. Or thinks that way. I didn't say it was weird. I just think the behaviour is inappropriate & potentially abusive. That's why I said I would stay away from someone like that. I don't find that lovable behaviour at all.

Omg that is the dumbest thing I have heard of in my life. My 78 year old 4'11'' year old grandma with alzheimers not liking that my aunt got another piercing and wanting to take them out is abuse? Please people. Honestly Yeah my grandma is dangerous alright, I guess I shouldn't go over there for family dinner later!

Mine is a control freak with nothing nice to say about anything. It appears the OP's grandmother is just traditional. It's not a big deal and certainly not abuse.

He said no ear piercing until she was a certain age, and that if god wanted holes in our ears he would have put them there himself. Well before the age limit he set she came home one day and pulled her hair away from her ears and said "SEE DAD! God wanted two holes in each of my ears!" and walked off...but got chased down, chewed out, and grounded.

We're not all afraid to get them now, I just happen to not like them which is why I don't have them. We all got our ears pierced when we were 3 months old.

So when ever I talked to her, I talked through my teeth. She never asked me about it. But she asked my sister. She still doesn't like the 8 tattoos I got but she doesn't say anything. But I understand what you are saying. Your grandma sounds too cute. By the way I am 35 and I hid my last two tattoos from her which is hard because they are on my wrist.
