I want to avoid any of the typical things: bars, clubs, shopping, whatever. I can do that crap anytime.

So you want to go to museums instead? Moma, Met, Natural History, etc. You can have a picnic in central park, visit the zoo/aquarium, go to Coney Island....?

It is Free, but you still need tickets. They are being distributed at baseball parks around nyc. Mostly at Yankee Stadium in the bronx, but also at Shea. My
friend works for The yankees/staten island yankees so I'm getting in through her.

Oh and it's at 8pm. It's like a kick off to the all star game at yankee stadium on the 15th. So while anyone can go, you do need tickets. You can't
just go off the street.

You should see if they have any day cruises and take one of those. The ones that take you on a tour of NY, but you get dinner, wine, and whatever else.
