Same here. I remember in school we had to use the library to find a book for a report and I had such a hard time reading it. The smell made my eyes water and hurt my nose

Those of you who own hundreds, how do you store them? Do you have a really huge bookshelf?

since I moved back from Kentucky, I just go to the library. when I was in Kentucky, the local library didn't have much so I kept Amazon in business for
awhile.
dang, the list of books I own says I have 457 books.

Both! Depends how broke I am and whether I think I will like the book. I love just perusing the book store to find new things. I own at least 500 books, thats
just whats on shelves in my living room I have no idea whats in boxes in the rest of the house. I think its interesting the big difference between the
condition book lovers keep their books in. I always try to keep mine nice, I don't fold pages, roll the covers etc. I had a roommate who was a big reader
as well but he trashed his books. He would read in the shower!

I read way too much to buy every book I want to read. No fucking way. I go to the library often but I also get grossed out at how dirty and smelly some of the
books are.

Buy. There is something really satisfying to me about owning the book. But I don't really have that many. I just went and counted and I have 69 on my main
bookshelf. I have a box full in my closet but I don't know how many are in there.

Buy. I like having them. And if I love a book I tend to read them more than once.

I have a pretty small bookshelf, stuffed to the gills, plus several books that don't fit right now. Part of my problem is the Harry Potter and Twilight
series taking up so much space, because I want to keep them all together. And those aren't books to be proud of...I need to make more space for
classics.

Library. If I buy books, I buy them used at Half Price Books. The only ones I have new are the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants books and the Harry Potter
ones.

No, I have to own them. I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds. (I'd started to count when I was going to "catalogue" them, but stopped.) I
have bookshelves all over my apartment, some are packed up in spare closets and some are stored at my mom's house. Alone with buying music, buying books is
my weakness. I cannot stop but I guess it's better than a crack habit.

I would LOVE to have a library someday. (Library as in a specific room set aside for books, not a library as in just a collection of books:)). I just have so
little space...but I definitely have a book buying weakness.

Library, since I don't have any room for a bunch of books in my current place. I just have to make sure I clean them off, because yeah...people are nasty.
But once I'm done with school and living the big life (

I go to the library. I was at a thrift store recently and I ended up getting 8 books for $15! I was so stoked lol. When they're a $1-$2, I don't mind
buying them.

Buy. I work in a library and after a few patrons, the library books start getting disgusting. So if I don't get the book while it's back in my office
(before it goes out to the public), I go to the store instead.

i actually have a library at my house with at least a thousand books. my dad is a collector but it's pretty cool to go in there and read em.. plus alot of
the classics are signed, which is pretty cool.
