Here's my list so far: Mr. Darcy Mr. Knightley Edward Cullen Ron Weasley Colonel Brandon Atticus Finch Gilbert Blythe Nicholas Nickleby Sam Gamgee After thinking about it, I have to add Heathcliff. I know it ends well, but I just didn't think he was as great as some of the other Austen men. I also thought about Mr. Rochester, but decided not to add him. Who is Gary Hallet?

Plus I love the letter he writes her. He is from Practical Magic, which is a really well written book by Alice Hoffman.
