I'm thinking about opening up a credit card that accrues air miles. What's the best airline (or credit card) to go with?

I usually fly Southwest and I like it a lot, but in January I flew on Frontier for the first time and was extremely impressed with everything....everyone was
so nice! That was the only time I've flown with them, though, so maybe it was a fluke.
And I would never recommend Delta. Every time I've flown with them, I've either had a huge delay or a canceled flight. One time we even started taking off, and then they stopped, turned around, and made us get off and wait 3 hours. Now my friend jokes around and says Delta stands for "Didn't Even Leave The Airport." |

Southwest and JetBlue. They're the only ones that I've used in the past few years and I really like both of them.

One time we even started taking off, and then they stopped, turned around, and made us get off and wait 3 hours. Oh wow, I'd be so mad. Did they give you a reason why you had to wait?? Yeah, my friends flew with JetBlue when we went to Vegas and they had unlimited snacks, XM, their own little TV's, etc... My boyfriend and I flew American and we just got soda. I was like, "Where's my peanuts?! No pretzels?" :lol Ugh, no more American for me. The only thing with JetBlue is -- they don't do international flights, right? Anyway, thanks to everyone for their suggestions. :D |

I'm flying Frontier in a week or so and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Jet Blue and Southwest.
KDal, I love Frontier! They are very good too, they just don't go where I need them to go. |

yeah I'm going to Vegas and they had the cheapest fares. I was nervous til my grandfather asked me who I was flying with. When I told him Frontier he
started talking about how much he loved flying with them.
we booked our tickets early enough that we don't have to pay to have two bags checked. Love it!! |

I know Jet Blue goes at least to the Dominican Republic... their DR flights go out of a different terminal than the rest of Jet Blue at JFK.
I flew American last week and got a crappy fake chex mix thing that tasted like ass. I haven't flown Midwest Express since 2000, but back then everything was reaaaaaally nice. Like real plates and forks and knives for a meal between Omaha and New York City. I'm sure things have changed since then. I hate US Airways and Delta. |

See, American was supposed to charge me $15 for checking in my bag but they didn't. I even checked my credit card to see if they charged me that way but I
didn't see anything. Hm...

my great uncle works for US Airways...and I won't fly with them. sad huh? (it's not like I get free tickets though
There are three of us flying and we're coordinating who is bringing snacks because the only bad thing is a multiple hour lay over in Denver both ways. |

I say BAH to checking luggage! I am a total overpacker but I can get a full week out of my rolly carry-on and the little carry-on bag that came with it.
This is the set I have. <3 I think I travel a lot (comparatively speaking) and the only thing that's busted is the duffel bag because when you roll it around, everything kind of smushes to the bottom and drags on the ground. I was also rolling it around Manhattan for like three hours so that didn't help. I take the smaller of the two upright rolling suitcases as my big carry on and the shoulder bag as my "personal item." |

Try it! Then you don't have to wait for your luggage. And you get to buy tiny travel shampoo!
I love it because I just slip the back of the shoulder bag over the handle of the rolly thing and ta-da! No shit to carry around the airport. I'd much rather roll that thing around than carry a purse and a backpack or whatever as my personal item. But anyway... what the hell was this post about? |
