In 11th and 12 grades, yes! When we were seniors we could leave whenever we had a study hall, too.

I went to school in the country. The only way you could leave is if you had a car. The lucky ones did the not so lucky ones didn't.

No. They had taken that privilege away just a year or two before I went to high school because apparently students had been taking advantage of it so they
ruined it for everybody.

No, we weren't even allowed outside. My school was full of a bunch of idiots who would ruin it and the administration knew that

No but the school did used to. The year they stopped allowing students to go off campus, the students rioted.

Yes, but unless we lived close by we didn't need to drive anywhere for lunch. Anything and everything was a short walk.

HELL no. Sometimes we were allowed outside at the end of the lunch period but teachers stood at the end of the small patio out front and wouldn't let us
pass. And that lasted 10 minutes max. They were always really serious about the hall passes and everything too. Every damn step you took had to be documented.
I definitely told off an overzealous hall monitor over that once or twice.

Yes, my freshman and sophomore year. They changed it the year after though.

Nope. I went to a small all-girl Catholic school. They were pretty strict.

Nope. It was like a prison. During lunch, you had to be in the cafeteria until they dismissed you 30 minutes later. You could go to the restroom, but if you
wanted to go somewhere else, you had to get permission from the assistant principals. My school sucked ass.

Yep. Technically only for lunch, but we would always stay later if we had a free period right after.

Nope- our cars were locked within a chain-linked fence and if you did have to leave for like a doctors appointment or something then they had to get the
custodial staff to unlock it for you. But if you had Running Start or something like that, then you can park in the part where they didn't lock it up.
Plus we weren't close to any restaurants or anything. |
