I got gel on my natural nails like 3 weeks ago and I HATE them. They looked nice, but made my nails all fatty and I couldn't scratch myself.
What's with the fake nail obsession with a lot of women/girls? Like acrylic nails just ruin your natural nails and gel ruined my natural nails too.

They look nice, and I like to decorate lol. It makes my fingers look thinner too because my fingers are stubby looking. I bite my nails and they just look bad.

Some people have crappy nails to begin with so going fake isn't a huge deal or that bad.

My real nails are super weak. I can't afford to get acrylics right now or I would, and they wouldn't be that long.

I used to love those things. I thought they made my fingers look nice. I stopped getting them though cause they ruin your natural nails. And I have to type too
much at work anyway for fake nails.

I got gel nails in high school for dances and stuff, but I never really liked them. Now if I get my nails done, I just get french manicures. It's even what
I did for my wedding. I think they look really nice. I just would rather have my real nails.

My real nails are really ugly, so I get them because they look nicer. I get mine really short too so I can still actually function at work and stuff.

I hate fake nails. It's very rare for me to see someone sporting fake nails that I actually think look nice.
Never had mine done, never will. Plus, too many horror stories from my mother who used to do nails for a living. Yuck! |

I wish I could afford to get acrylics put on again. I used to get them put on all the time. And getting them airbrushed was so much fun. I loved all the
positive comments I got.
Now they're plain and ugly. I'm thinking about getting short ones put on just before before I make a day trip down to Atlanta just for the hell of it. I never get to do stuff for myself anymore so, why not

I like getting them on occasion. I know it does a number on my nails, but my nails aren't nice anyway. I bit my nails all my life until last November and I
finally quit.
I just had the acrylics removed after having them for two months. I'm glad to have them off, but it was nice to have them on for a while. |

I guess it depends where you go and what you like. Some people like the long ass nails and I think thats kind of gross. I keep my short and theyre not thick
looking so it look like natural nails.
It cost me like $30 for a full set, and then like $13-18 for a fill and I get like 2 fills in a month. It is kind of expensive for me, but I'm broke lol. |
