Im glad she is almost has her weight under control. She has soo much life left to live.
Hopefully she will not have some major health issues because of this later on. As much as this situation could have been controlled sometimes even parents cant put a grip on it.. it just happens. |

I was shocked when I read the title - that's really sad her mom would let it get to that point. That's very dangerous.

Does the mother not realize that children learn from their parents behavior? How can that little girl who is so young be put on such a strict diet/exercise
routine; while the woman who allowed her to get so big continues her own unhealthy habits? That little girl will probably grow up to resent her mother, or have
an eating disorder for getting so much attention on restricting her calories.

Seriously, the mother should have been charged with child abuse.
If another mother denied her child food and the child was a fucking stick damn near close to dying, she would have been cuffed and charged with the quickness. If she gave the same "I didn't know" excuse like Jessica's mother did, the judge would throw the book at her. So why is ok when Jessica's mother does the opposite, but the result of death could have been the same? And all she got was parenting classes. In both cases, it's still fucking neglect. |

I'm amazed a child that young managed to physically cope with being that weight. 400lbs will put a hell of a lot of strain on an adult's heart and
organs, but a 5-7 year old?

Wouldn't someone that age be die if they weighted that much? I would think all that weight on someone small, their body would crush itself.
