I JUST bought the ENV2 last week on the new every 2 plan for $49.99, after rebate, ugh!

When I upgraded to my latest phone they weren't going to let me have my 2.99 for 100 txts add-on anymore.
Instead, I asked them about it (online of course) because I was sad they didn't have it anymore and the lady gave me an option they don't list when I renewed my contract. It's a 250 general msg plan (it includes txt and pix) for $5.00 a month so I took that. I find it worth it because I do txt and I do pix (now that I have the option without it costing me more) but I don't do it that much, unlike a lot of other people. So I know you said you asked, but sometimes their online help can help you more than their in-store help or even phone help.
