My BF and I broke up and he moved away from here about 2 months ago. We had been together 5 years, lived together, shared everything, had a dog together, etc,
etc. I know we are not right for each other, but I just miss him so much. I miss having a partner so much. I thought we'd stay friends, but that has proven
to be just too hard right now, so I havent' talked to him in weeks. I don't know what to do with myself
When does this get easier?

Just be patient. Try to focus on using this time to take care of yourself...

OMG I would never have let him take my dog. I have him, along with one I had before we got together. Sad as it sounds, they help me so much to make it through
the day.

It will just take away until you get out of that routine of sharing your life with someone else. It gets to the point in relationships where it is just natural
to have to consider another person in everything you do. Like you are 1/2 of a whole thing. Once you get used to doing things just for yourself and get out of
the habit of relying on someone else, it WILL get easier. Seriously, try to just distract yourself with new things that won't remind you of him.

Yeah, I know, that is the hardest part. I'm just so used to having someone there all the time and it's so freaking lonely now that I'm all alone. I
know I have a lot of work to do on myself, and that sucks too. I know some people have it so much worse - divorcing after 20 yrs and shit - but this is just
terrible.
