I'm an atheist and I'll wear a cross necklace occasionally.

No.
But if I saw someone wearing it, I would think they were religious. |

I wear a cross regularly. I'm by no means a practicing Christian - I haven't been to a service since I was about 10-12. I just like crosses.

I wouldn't be able to do that. I wear my Star of David, and only that. Personally, I'd feel like I was disrespecting my religion if I wore a symbol of
another religion.

I have seen crosses with the Star of David inlaid over it and I'm not sure how I feel about those. I know Jesus was Jewish, but still......not quite sure I'd wear that. |

the cross has just become a mainstream symbol -of what? peace, maybe- and really doesn't smack of religion to me anymore.
the crucifix does, however, and i'd be ashamed for someone to wear it just to be in style. |

Crosses don't automatically equal a religious symbol. Crucifix yes, cross, not necessarily.

Maybe, if I liked it. I have this jade Buddha necklace that I really like. I'm atheist, but I think Buddhism is a beautiful religion.
