It's funny how the Republican party likes to be all "smaller government" but only when it comes to basically their money/pockets and their lives
(if they are straight and pro-life). Otherwise, we need big government to vote on who can marry who and whether women have a personal right to their own
uterus.

They just showed a clip of the Obama rally in Philly this morning. Barack thanks McCain for sticking up for him and attempting to stick up for him.
And, LMFAO, they just showed a Tuskeegee airman: Did you know you were making history? Hell no. I was surviving. Sassy ass old Black man |

So did anyone watch Bill Maher last night? I thought he had some great points.
The two biggest threats to our own persons, to Americans, are environmental and economical; it is NOT terrorists, it is not terrorism. What happened on 9/11 was Osama bin Laden took out our financial district and then watched as we shot ourselves in the foot and collapsed from the inside out. I think he is right, we need to cut the defense spending in half and pull our troops out and get them home so we do not continue to fund this useless $10B/month war. Gee, would that constitute as cutting military funding? Please, correct me if I'm wrong. Was anyone else taken aback by the fmr. Comptroller General David Walker saying that America isn't $10 trillion in debt, we're about $52 trillion in debt and that equates to about $450,000 per household? Now I googled and found something on Obama's site about how we are really $62 trillion in debt! http://my.barackobama.com...ty/post/chriscreel/gG5WQZ I mean when is this going to end?!?!?! |

Palin attacked Obama's record on Abortion for the first time today. It is apparently the first time she brought it up. She spoke 12 fricking minutes on it
at a rally. They must be really desperate to hang onto their base.

I went to the rally today. No protestors, even if there were, they wouldn't have a chance to do shit. Justin has more security than Obama
I really love John Lewis today. He called McCain out Now I need to go take a nap before I canvass, I couldn't sleep last night and I had to be at the rally at 8am cause I was volunteering

Oh, also, I wanted to ask....does anyone else get a Manchurian Candidate feeling from the McCain campaign? But instead of a young soldier being brainwashed to
kill, we have an old man on the verge of dementia and health problems being urged to take on the presidency? He's like the grandfather that you kept away
from strangers, and yourself, because he could attack at any moment with his anger.
Okay, maybe you do, maybe you don't. Let me explain why I think that. I have to say, when I watched that video of John McCain talking about "who is the real Barack Obama" and people in the audience yelled out TERRORISTS, he seriously looked taken aback by it. It was like he was totally out of the loop that this had been happening on his campaign trail. I just have this feeling that John McCain is handled, was pushed into being president, but NOW, there is even more control and it is coming from Sarah Palin. Palin reminds me of a daughter who takes reigns of her father, his life and his finances and controls everyone to a vicious T. Everyone is too scared to say anything, so they go along with whatever she wants. So you've got control of wacky grandpa, but wacky grandpa cannot go in front of the people, so you dope him up on all kinds of pills, just enough to fool people. So the pills have helped, you win the primary, get the ticket and okay, it's worked, people have been fooled, but now months later, he's going down hill. So you up the pills, take control again, but oops, grandpa becomes lucid enough to realize what the hell has happened but the damage is already done. He's been deemed incompetent and the Power of Attorney has been signed over to the daughter. So he has to go along with what his new caretaker says. ELDERLY ABUSE! Okay, that's a little far fetched, but I just have this deep down gut feeling that it might be true. I dealt with two grandparents who ended up with dementia, one being diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the other about to be diagnosed but ended up dying before the diagnosis. I also dealt with one aunt (out of 7 children) who never participated in her parent's life, but once control and money were on the table and for sure 100% out of her hands, she took it upon herself to bring the entire family down, including messing with her parent's health. She helped put a very incompetent man (my uncle) in charge of my grandparent's health and because of his incompetence, the last week of my grandfather's life was him being off his diabetic medicine AND pain medicine, going into diabetic shock because he was being fed 3 meals a day and because of the shock, the Alzheimer's, his esophagus forgot how to swallow and he ended up asphyxiating. I mean, literally, when I look at Sarah Palin, I think of my aunt and my family problems. My aunt, just salivated at the idea of controlling everything, even though she didn't know anything. It was the control that took over and ended up bringing up a lot of hate in my family, dividing us for years and breaking a lot of hearts. It wasn't until she died, my incompetent uncle died and I got into the house and started taking control of my grandma that she (gma) finally got the help she so desperately needed. Unfortunately, the help came 5 years too late and even though we were working on remedying all the problems, her body had been damaged and she died 7 months into me taking care of her. So when I look at a John McCain campaign with Sarah Palin on the ticket, that's what I see and that's why I personally think that is a dangerous ticket for America. Wow, that was long, sorry, too much talking is a trait I inherited from my grandpa
