Wow, at that holiday comment. Sad thing is I knew some dudes who actually broke up with girls during the holidays then try to get them back after the new year.
But really, it is a cop, unless he saw the relationship totally different then how you saw it. If everything was as good as you say, he will be still with you. He was looking for a way out, and you gave him a way out.
But anyway sorry, but if he does that you, you do deserve better.
and btw, we are not all assholes
I'm very upset... Guys are assholes...

No I dunno what I'm going to do with these hockey tickets - does anyone want to go to the Ranger/Islanders game? |

how work is really busy, and how he'll have no time to devote to me and that I deserve someone who can give me more and who won't be as possessive and jealous as him. yeah those are the lame excuses guys use when they're just not feeling you anymore |

Anyone who breaks up with someone via texting....deserves to be alone. I would never take him back.

What's the big deal? He said he can't be in a relationship this holiday season. So then date other guys and wait till January 1 and start dating him
again since the holiday season will be over with.

well he should have done it to your face but if he did, maybe he felt it would be too dramatic and you would argue and the break up wouldn't go smoothly.
Did you recently start dating him? I know you said you were friends for 4 years. If you were dating 4 years and he did this via text, then he would be a huge
jerk. But if you were dating for like a month.. it doesn't seem as bad?
I hope you guys can work out your differences and find way to co-exist. |

It sounds like hes wanting you to hate him. Whatever that was, hes an asshole and for him to do a 180* turn around like that you DO deserve better.

Or he's a late-blooming Halloweenie! (Guys who bail out of relationships before the holidays -- it's from the very awesome "Between Boyfriends
Book" by Cindy Chupack.)
Definitely get a girl friend and go to the game. Have a good time, drink some beers! Don't stay home and wallow! |
