omg! I doubt it'll scar - and if it does, it'll be quite unnoticeable I'm sure.
He made an honest mistake [I'm assuming, I doubt he was like HEY HOLE THROUGH THE LIP WOO!] but at the same time.. ya know? I wouldn't sue but I'd consider switching dentists. Is he 'new' to the field? Or has he been doing it for years and years? That's def shitty but I wouldn't f- his career over it. |

I'm in the minority with Ninido. I mean, you don't need stitches. People makes mistakes all the time. Unless he drilled a hole in your cheek because he
was gettig a blowjob under the table or he was high or something, I wouldn't sue.

If someone drilled a hole through my face, even if it was small and wasn't going to scar, I don't think I'd just want to blow it off as an oopsie. |

I'm pretty sure it'll leave a scar, I mean it is a hole in your face for crying out loud. I would definitely go to the doctor and get it checked out.

yikes, I have no idea what I would do in your situation. I probably wouldnt sue my dentist because I'm way too nice (but I know so many folks who would go
cha-ching at this!) On another note I would go to the doctor to take the necessary precautions that would prevent any type of scarring. It does look a little
like a piercing, and piercings close up, right? I would hope it turns into some scab or something.

wow..that really effin sucks. wtf was he doing?
i probably wouldn't sue...although it would be nice to win and get some money, i'd just feel selfish sueing, if the wound were to heal up and have limited scarring, i'd just feel bad settling for money and (possibly) ruining the guys career over a small scar and limited emotional stress. its not like he cut your entire lip off...i'd be sueing at that point... |

Wow, people are really sue-happy. I feel bad for doctors. I'm sure EVERY doctor and dentist makes bad mistakes every now and then. With the sheer volume of
patients they see, it's just bound to happen. And of course everyone wants to sue anytime something happens.
Anywho, I'm really sorry he did that to you. That's crazy! |

No one is saying she needs to sue for millions, but she should be financially compensated because the man drilled a fucking hole in her cheek.

i don't want to ruin the guy's career and i realize that it was an honest mistake but "oops, sorry" doesn't make me feel comfortable
since i let him go all willy-nilly with needles and drills in my mouth.
i already had an extreme distrust in dentists and this definitely doesn't help. i told my mom and she's calling the office this morning to help me out bc i'm still a little shocked and "wtf?" about the whole thing and she's more level-headed. i kind of feel like uncle jessie when stephanie gave him the "pretend haircut" -- i can't believe you did that! i don't think it'll scar but my birthday is on saturday and i didn't want to spend the whole night with hole in my mouth with a glob of neosporin on it. |
