so i adopted a dog today... |

and the previous owner wasn't completely honest. she said the dog wasn't spayed but the dog is actually in heat right now. i have to wait to get her
spayed now...great...
other than that, she's a sweetheart. my 2 yr old has named her "tosey" - toasty...

no, believe me - i'm getting her spayed as soon as i can. i was told in petsmart by a breeder that most vets would make me wait for her to stop bleeding
before letting me have it done. i told her i wanted to do it ASAP.

i was looking to get a younger dog but i changed my mind after i read this girl's post on craigs list. she said she was going to get rid of the dog if
nobody took her after the wknd so i emailed her right away.
She's looking fly even with the diaper.  thank you, thank you. yeah, the diaper kinda threw me when we first saw her. i thought i could get it done right away but i guess i have to wait. i'm
going to research it now...

yeah, that mclaughlan commercial is tough. i guess it impacted me because i changed my mind as soon as i heard about toasty... she panted all the way home. i thought she was thirsty or hot or something...i guess that explains it. |

At the vet I used to work at, I think you could get them done while in heat. It was more expensive though.
