Is this for the inauguration or the inauguration ball? I know it says inauguration but is that accurate? I'm not familiar with this cause I never paid
attention to presidential inaugurations until now.

You don't think an American citizen should sing at an Inaugeration?

I would wait until the campaign confirms this before I believe it. The original source is one Peruvian paper.

Lets Hug It Out wrote: The Columbian paper cites another a peruvian paper as its only source. My spanish isn't good enough to read that paper, but I think its just a rumor. U.S. President-elect Barack Obama invited Colombian singer Shakira to perform in the White House on the day of his inauguration in January 2009, Peruvian newspaper El Comercio reported Tuesday. |

Ooh sorry. I thought you were saying she was Peruvian. My bad.
I know she's going to school here, but I didn't know she got citizenship too. I'll have to look it up. Of course, that makes things different. If she's performing at the concert and not the ball or the inaugeration itself then I think that's fine. I would just rather see a black american legend sing at his inaugeration and speak at the inaugeration, being that it's so historic. I think it would mean so much more to someone like that than SHakira singing America The Beautiful. |

Shakira singing America The Beautiful is laughable...she doesn't have the voice to sing that song. That's like a bad situation and awkward pauses.
That's like Beyonce (
) singing Etta James's At Last. I lub her BUT....no. No.

Shakira singing America the Beautiful? LMAO. At least she has a month to get her voice right.

Haha Soon as I read the title, I played La Tortura on my iPod.
But I seriously doubt he ONLY invited Shakira. I just think the newspaper was reporting the only performer relevant to them. |
