I always thought the guy who plays Julian's dad was good looking for an older guy. He was in those cheesy ABC Family movies, Au Pair 1 & 2.

From othfans.com: Season 7 without Chad??? OTHfans.com has the exclusive news... that One Tree Hill will continue on for a 7th season. But will the entire cast be returning? No says a very close source to the show. Chad Michael Murray will not return for the new season. The source says Chad decided not to renew his contract because he is ready to move on to more roles in movies. How will this affect the show? I wouldn't be surprised if it's true, he's barely on it anymore as it is and when he is he sucks, so...whatever. But the show will not be OTH
without him on it, considering he was like the main character in the beg. It's like Dawson's Creek without Dawson..that would have been weird.
I don't want a 7th season out of this show. It's done...they need to just end it and stop with the crap. I don't want another B/P triange with a guy, no more goddamn psycho stalker kidnappers..and no more Dan almost dying. If they wanted this show to continue on they should have not skipped ahead 4 yrs and just showed them going through college.. |

I actually don't care for Chad. I won't miss him cause he's barely on this season and I think Mark was hoping he would stay so he gave him chance
to direct and write but I guess that wasn't enough.
If there will be 7th season all I want is Brooke/Julian,don't care for the rest but I agree this season should be last but I don't think CW wants to let them go cause they are one of their best shows when it comes to ratings. |

I think the show would be very odd without him on it. And what would they do with Peyton then? Have her be a stay at home "single" mom? (assuming
they do have this kid).
And I doubt they would KILL Lucas off..although...... No, I doubt it,
they'd probably say he moved to hollywood to write more movies or some bs.
But eh. The show is not what it once was and it is often painful to watch. Too much side character bs. |

As much as I can't stand Chad I agree with OTH not being the same without him. Even if they're slowly phasing him out which is what they seem to be
doing it just would be weird. I would love another season focusing around Brooke/Haley/Nathan and the rest of the main characters rather than Lucas/Peyton all
the time so if he takes her with him I'll watch.

This makes NO sense whatsoever.
It should end this season. Season 7 without one of the main characters is ridiculous. Especially since it's ''Lucas'' the guy that the triangle was focused on. You can't kill off a major character before the series finale, you just can't. I really hope it ends this season now, I wanted it to go on forever because it's my favourite show but it has to stop at one point and now seems to be the time. |

I agree with you, JT4Eva. The longer they drag it out, the worse its legacy will be. And if the main character is saying, "Uh, yeah, I'm done with
this crap," that says a lot. Chad's been wanting to leave for a loooong time. These rumors aren't new.
I gave OTH a pass until the Nanny Carrie stuff came along. I honestly didn't know if I was watching a pseudo satirical comedy or a television drama, or both. It's just a disaster and has been for years, but it's only getting worse. Put it out of its misery now before Gary Coleman comes on the show and starts stalking Peyton. (But hey, don't want to give them any "fresh" ideas.) |
