A few nights ago we had a nice, long talk and got kinda close and kissed. During the talk she admitted she still loved him. He probably won't like it if I dated her, but he isn't the closest of friends and has made some choices in life I'm against. Her and I are hangin out again tonight, do I go further with this? I'm leaning towards yes. Update - well he actually is getting his shit together now and getting out of the trouble he was in.......this one really came back to bite me in the ass. really quick too, I only made this post last week! If the ex broke my friend's heart and she's suffering then obviously not but if I feel for somebody and they do back, no one's getting in the way. I've never done it because tastes are different but if it came down to it, a case by case analysis is necessary - not a generalization.

So basically, you don't give a shit about this guy one way or another? If that's the case then go for it. But from all that you're saying, if you don't plan on just using this girl for sex or you're not out on some male gigolo stuff and are trying to pimp her for cash, this will probably not end well for you. Hell, if you two aren't good friends...what's the matter? Only problem is that she probably doesn't love you and she'll be thinking about someone else. I'm ok with her not loving me. I'm not looking for a long-term relationship.
