I'm a little older than most of the posters here, so I read her when I was kid. (The Andy Warhol discussion made me wonder what other cultural references are lost).
Have you heard of Judy Blume?

Her books used to be banned because of the issues she wrote about. |

Are you there God, it's me Jeepchic.
I've read just about everything she's ever wrote. Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary ruled my reading world as a child/young adult |

She actually made me want to become a writer. (Her and Stephen King!). It's cute that she's a fan of Harry Potter:

Heard of her. My mom got one or two of her books for me when I was younger, but I never read them or any of her books.

Loved her books when I was younger. Her adult fiction is ok too...I love "Summer Sisters" but was not thrilled with the others I read.
I never read Forever...I don't think? |

Is Cleary the one who wrote the Ramona Quimby books? That was CRACK to me as a kid.
I wish I still loved to read. It's so sad to look back on how much I used to LOVE reading books. And now, it bores me so. |
