I got glasses in february, but I want to get contacts so I don't have to wear them so much. My mom's friend totally scared me by saying that she got an
infection recently even though she was taking care of her eyes and contacts, and now, the eye that was infected appears smaller than the other one! Should I
get them?

I've been wearing contacts for 13 years or so. No problems at all. Get them, you'll be fine.

Considering I'm currently in the process of wearing glasses non-stop until June 1st (for LASIK)..contacts. I hate my contacts but I hate my glasses 1,000x
more.

i've had contacts for roughly 8yrs. the only issue i have had was an infection but that was due to the sleepy crude getting into my eye. It was never
caused by the contacts though. I couldn't wear them during the time (it was almost like a pink eye type thing) but never anything directly linked to the
contact.
i do recommend not having fake/long nails when getting them for the first time. I found (personally) that when i had them it made my life harder to get them in & out. but other than that i love them. |

The chance of you getting an infection is slim unless you're the type of person who would pick up a contact off the floor & put it back on your eye.
And don't sleep w/ them in.

I've been wearing contacts for ten years. I use Acuvue Oasys lenses and the Aquify 5-minute rub or overnight cleaning solution.

I've only had my contacts for a year and a half, but I've never gotten an infection or anything. I never take proper care of them either
Still no problems. |

Once a month disposable.
aka replace whenever I tear it or lose one... which happens about once a month. |

Yes... and if you noticed. Everyone has one eye bigger than the other. Just look really closely.
Contacts are great. I have soft lenses. One month disposables. My optomotrist told me that the only reason other docs say use them for 2 weeks is because that way they generate more sales. You can actually wear the 2 week sdisposables for a month and you are fine too. |

I've been wearing disposable contacts for more than 10 years. I sleep with them in and just throw them away once a week or so. The night I change them, I
do sleep without them that night and then I put the new ones on the next morning. I use Accuvue and I've never had any problems with them and no
infections.
