I'm watching all these old videos. He just made it exciting. Larry Bird/Magic Johnson era was even better then what it is now.

there were acutal rivalries then.
Not just between teams, but even players themselves. NBA on NBC with the introductions to every game...

Yes. I also miss the gunshots after the Bulls won their championships. Go Jordan.

Im basketball and swimming. I did both of those my whole life, until I tore my shoulder playing. Then I picked up watching football. But baseball was my last sport to pick up and watch. Ahhh! i remember those NBC clip/intros

Yes. That theme was the best. Bob Costas' intros were the best!

I enjoy today's NBA too, but I just miss Michael Jordan in general. I can remember watching him on t.v. while playing with my Barbies.

I miss 90s basketball period. I wish the NBA stayed on NBC... so much better. And yes I agree about Bob Costas.

Yeah. Because the Bulls were damn good, and it was cause of him. I was pretty young when they won all the championships, but I remember fireworks going off,
and EVERYONE had Bulls stuff on their house, whether it was a flag, or towels. The city of Chicago owes a lot of Jordan and Jerry Reinsdorf (who is the only
owner to bring this city a championship in recent years).
Hopefully Rose can bring the Bulls back on that level. |
