Fisherman's Wharf or Downtown?
We are going to San Francisco for the first time and I'm looking at different places to stay. I'm the one that's arranging everything, so I get to say where we can stay. I found 2 hotels that i like but are in different areas. I know nothing about the city so I don't know how different the neighborhoods are.
One is in Fisherman's wharf area (near Lombard st)
the other is in downtown (near Market)
What would you recommend to an inexperienced tourist? lol

When I went to Sonoma State I got there in about an hour and a
half.
