I had my first home PC for 7 years and never once had a problem with a virus. It just finally got old and died. I bought the one I have now about 1.5 years ago
and again no problems other than a bit of one last week staying connected to the Internet. I called my server people, the guy came in on Saturday and changed a
cable and it's working fine again.

I don't give a crap whether people use Macs or PCs. Buy what suits your needs under your budget. However, I do hate the pretensious attitude some Apple
users of Iphone/Ipod/Mac can get over products that aren't that label.

Lol @ the og poster. I think the main reason people stick to PCs is their own ablity to fix it. I stick with PC cause if something happens I can fix it on my
own, without having to play Best Buy 200 bucks just to look at it. Where as with a Mac, I would have to pay someone to fix it, if something happens to it.

I love that one commercial where the girl is like, "I want a nice keyboard and a 17" screen" and then sees the far superior 13" MacBook but
it's too expensive and goes "I guess I'm not cool enough to be a Mac person." LMAO WHAT.
But seriously. You're basing your purchase off of keyboard and screen size? That's asinine. It probably had terrible specs based on the price and since she didn't look at anything but damn appearance. |

I'm a Mac user who also hates the pretentious Mac users, but I don't understand the PC users who then get defensive and act like buying a Mac is a
waste of money. Let's just all write off the idiots and go about making our personal choices.
I use a PC at work and it's fine. I use a Mac at home and I really like it. As for the commercials, yeah, they're ridiculous, but Mac doesn't have much room to talk with their commercials. |

I got a PC (a dell) before I got a mac. The brand new PC crash in less than a week, actually started a day or two after I got it. I sent it back. Didn't
bother getting another one.
We have another PC that we have since converted to Linux. Every time we turned around there was some kind of problem with it, since converting it nothing. Not sure if I would ever buy another PC, since pretty much all of them has had problems. Yes, things were up-to-date and all... When I was working at this one place they had a mac that would crash every time I turned around, it was an old one though. So not really surprised. They were actually starting to replace them when I started there. I have been using PCs and Macs for 30+ years. |

This whole debate is silly. I have two PCs-- one is around 10 years old and still going strong (though it does need a new sound card.) The other is 2 years old
and a total piece of shit. I'm not going to make any blanket statements about PCs based on my experience with either of these machines because I'm not
an asshole.
When I get a new computer, I hope to get a Mac. BUT I don't expect smooth sailing. I worked on a Mac for some of my graphic design classes a few years ago and you bet your ass I saw several crashes that year-- once while I was taking a timed test |

For me personally I don't think I'll ever go back to a pc. I got my Sony vaio laptop (which actually was about the same price as my mac) back in 2003
and it was cool for about the first 6months- year. After that it was just down hill after that. I've had my macbook for 2 years and so far so good. No
virus, no freeze ups. Everyone I know who've made the switch, pretty much say the same thing. For me I've had way better luck with Macs.

Dear god, Mac Elitists are one of the most annoying creatures on this EARTH. Seriously, STFU about your fucking overrated as hell computer.
If you prefer a Mac over a PC, that is fine, but if you actually look down on people who don't, you no longer deserve to breathe. |

Sounds like the OP needs to speak for herself.
I do art stuff on my PC all the time and when I used a Mac for a graphic design course it gave me more problems than my PC ever has. |

Macs are for artistic and people who aren't all too familiar with computers to begin with. PCs are for workhorses and gamers. PCs are easily upgraded,
whereas with Macs you have to go through Apple to upgrade (in my experience). My friend has a macbook and in less than a year, she's had to go back to
apple twice to replace the battery. A PC will stay virus free if you have the right software. The only time I've ever had any problem with my PC is because
I'm the one who created the problem with it.

I used a Mac once and thought they were made for idiots. I prefer a PC. And, oddly enough, my friend's multiple Macs have all died or broken or something
before my PCs. And she takes better care of them than I do with my PC

I will never buy an Apple product. They're too expensive and just status symbols. It's also too hard to find stuff that's not for a PC. PCs work just fine, tyvm.

There seems to be a fair share of Mac and PC elitists in the world...I hate that people always act like Mac users are the only ones who turn into super
douchebags when fighting their case.

The thing I REALLY hate about those commercials are the blatant untruths... Like there's one where someone mentions needing a computer for graphics and
shit and they say that Mac's just aren't for that or aren't fast enough................ HELLO! What moron uses a PC for graphic heavy work?!
Mac's are practically made to be used for graphic designing and art.
Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit because I love my Mac's and I've ALWAYS used one for ALL my graphic design, web design and art, but I hate that blatant lie. |
