Do you guys like BOA? I'm thinking of switching to BOA from Chase (formally WAMU) and want to know what you guys think of them. I heard good things at
least better things then Chase. Ever since Washington Mutual got bought out by Chase it's not the same

I hate BOA, but it's because they kept applying my car loan payment to some random loan account belonging to someone else. After that kept happening i
switched banks to a small town bank and love it!

Where are all the people who love to bash B of A?
I've been with them for as long as I can remember. I think I even beat Seaner because I graduated in 1996 and I know I had them before that. I'm going to say 1995 because that's when I started my first real job. I WIN. But yeah, I've never had any major problems. Just a few instances of them charging me a monthly fee when I'm not supposed to have one. But both times I've gone in, politely explain what happened, and they gladly fix it for me in minutes. I've called customer service once or twice for a new debit card and the english speaking reps were so nice and amazing. |

Hate them. I had fraudulent charges on my card, so I called them to put a hold on account. They refused to do anything. Flat out said, that they would not stop
the charges, they would keep the account opened and would not do anything about it.
I asked what would happen if I closed the account and they told me that it was a possibility but then I was 'surrendering' my right to dispute the charges. They then told me to call the companies myself to fight the charges and to have those companies block my account number. Seriously BoA, you couldn't do anything?

None of dealings (apart from, like, deposit --surprise, surprise) has been that smooth with BoA. Plus, and maybe this is just where I live, they sometimes have
the RUDEST people working there, as if they're doing you a favor and it's not your money or something.
Of course, I don't have much experience with other banks, so take my advice with a grain of salt because I'm sure BoA isn't much worse than the rest of them. |

I've learned to like them. At first I didn't. I switched from a local credit union to BOA so it was hard to get used to the fact that my money
wasn't available right when I deposited it, I had to wait a long time for the funds to become available, etc. I do love the online banking though and
it's nice having a bunch of BOA ATMs around (that was the main reason I switched because I'm no longer in the area of my CU so I would have been
charged a ton of ATM fees up here).
