can you still use the other one? Like is it still valid to use for ID and for driving?

No, they take it from you when you change your address. They'll give you a temporary piece of paper until you're new license is ready. At least in my
area.

For New York, it says you just fill out a change of address form and send $15 and you get a new license. I don't have to turn it over or anything.

I'm in Toronto. When you change your address here, they apply a sticker to your license that says "Valid Photo ID Only" and issue a temporary
paper license. Those used in conjunction are valid for driving until the new one comes in the mail 3 weeks later.

In Oregon they used to put a sticker over the old one- I don't know how it is now.
But in Idaho you would get a "duplicate" license with a address change. And I liked Idaho you got your license right there and didn't have to use those stupid paper ones |

you go to the dmv and get a new one there. They give you your old one but they punch a hole through it.

In Arizona you order a new one online for $5 and you can do whatever you want with the old one. I just wouldn't hand it to a cop if you get pulled over.

In CA I'm pretty sure they just add it on the reverse of the license. At least they used to. It was a sticker or w/e.

I think you can in California. I accidentally handed the cashier at Target my old license (that I thought was lost so I got replaced) while buying alcohol and
it didn't send up any red flags when she scanned it.

In Minnesota they just give you a paper that says you have a new id on the way. They let you keep the old one they just clip it.

I live in the Toronto area, and when I changed my address online, it did not cost anything. They sent me a new one in the mail and I still have my old one
unaltered.
