I watched it last night too and it was fun. Yes, they left out a few things I wanted to see from the book but it was enjoyable.
I also thought it was far better than the last one. |

i havent reread the book recently on purpose because then you spend too much time comparing the book to the movie and miss enjoying the movie.
i liked it, it had a lot of romance in it. but so did the book and they are 16 now so that sounds abt right to me. the ending wasnt how i expected and seemed rushed but again i remembered that part from the book and was like 'hey, this isnt right.' but overall i liked it a lot. im gonna see it again =) |

I actually thought it did the best job of capturing the books and I am fiercely loyal to the books. I thought it was EXCELLENT.

I'm getting the feeling that as a movie it's good but if you're a fan of the book you're going to hate it, which really pisses me off.
I'll still end up seeing this but... ugh. |

I just got back from it a little while ago. I don't read the books, but I liked the movie for the most part. I thought it could've used some better
explaining at times, more details.

I liked the movie, but I don't remember a lot about the book - I read it several years ago. My husband remembered the book in great detail and he was
disappointed in the movie too. He said they left out some really important stuff - important to the continuing storyline.
I thought it was telling that after the movie was over, only one or two people in the crowded theater clapped - usually everyone claps. I also did not like that fact that at no time during the intro, the movie or the credits did I hear the Harry Potter theme song. I was bummed about that. |

I know, no one clapped at my theater either.

The whole ending BLEW. They left out the battle and I don't get how they're going to start Deathly Hallows now. I just reread the book though, so it
was fresh in my mind.
I'm going to see it again without comparing it to the book and i'm sure i'll love it. but right now? not so much... |

OK, so if you haven't read the book at all, is the movie enjoyable or totally confusing?

I enjoyed it for what it was. Yes they cut things down IMMENSELY to make it all fit and changed things up a bit, but that was expected. And when they leave
things out I trust it's for a reason b/c they always have a way of explaining things later on.

I can understand them leaving things out b/c unless you split the movie (lkike the last ones) you cant fit it all in- but they ADDED things. added things that
didnt help or develop the story any more.
I am a big fan of the books so I knew I would probably be disappointed. I hated Phoenix when it came out but it has slowly grown on me so hopefully this one will too. Daniel Radcliff said the last one will please fans of the books |
