I'm going to NYC in September. I'll only have about 2, maybe 3 days for sight seeing...so what are your recommendations? I know that's not a lot of
time, but if you didn't have a lot of time what would be top on your list?

Most of the obvious tourist things were a bust for me. I did enjoy the art museums, but I love art museums and realize not everyone would like them. I had the
most fun when I was just wandering. Obviously do Broadway if you can.

What museums did you like the best? I like that type of thing so I'm definitely down to check some out. I know there's the natural history museum and
the museum of modern art, right? Any others? I think there's 1 more main one that I'm forgetting...
I probably won't do "far away" type of things like going to Ellis Island and what not, so I'm game for any "in the city" attractions. What about ground zero? Anyone have any experience with that? Obviously there's probably not much to see, but I'm assuming there's some type of memorial in place or something. I kind of want to stop by. Where is it located exactly?

Thanks everyone!
I don't really think I'll have time for a Broadway show. Well, maybe I would. What about Carrie Bradshaw's apartment? Or at least where they filmed the outside of it...anyone been there? Is it far from everything else? I'm staying pretty much right in the middle of everything. I'm by Park Ave and also by the Waldorf Astoria. Also, which museums would you do if you could only pick 2? I don't think I'll have time for all of them. |

Do the Sex in the City tour...I've heard it's fun. I've never seen the show but I want to do it.

Where are you staying? If you can, stay at the Carlyle. I love it there.
One of the best things I've done (touristy) there is a tour of the city. If you have never been there, it gives you a good idea of where everything is. |

if you go to ground zero, you can walk across the brooklyn bridge and get some pizza and ice cream andwalk back. i don't thnk you should go to ground zero
though if you are looking for a memorial, though. i think it is amazing t see the size of the hole and to justappreciate what the towers were. (i lived in that
area)

I enjoyed Madame Toussauds, seeing a show on Broadway, having dinner in Little Italy, and the few tours we took. You can see a little a little bit of
everything without actually spending time there. We took the night tour on the double decker bus the first night we were there and I loved it. And then we took
a boat tour which took us really close to the Statue of Liberty without actually going there. You can see a lot of the touristy sites without actually going to
them.

There is a museum at the ground zero sight that is deff worht checking out, just make sure you bring tissues. I'd also recommend hanging out in the east
village, especially on st marks place, and get some food. My fave place to eat there is 7A (corner of 7th and Av A). And if you get nice weather take a walk
around Central Park! Carrie's apartment in is Greenwich Village, just off Bleeker Street so if you check that out there is plenty of other cool stuff to
see there too, and if you find yourself on MacDougal Street, check out Cafe Wha?
