I know he's from Australia, but I haven't seen any of his interviews to hear an accent.

He had the accent when he was on Summerland. I didn't even realize it was him for the first few minutes in the first True Blood episode because the voice
was SO different and he had that glazed, stupid look that Jason has down pat. Mark of a good actor, I guess.
