My friend is pregnant once again except this time she is pregnant with twin girls. She has a little boy who is about a year and a half. She is torn between
having another baby shower since it's two this time around and they are both girls or sucking it up and buying everything on her own. I personally told her
I think it would be ok for her to have another but what do you guys think?

someone can have as many showers as they want. invited guests will decide if they want another go 'round or not.

I think considering the circumstances, it would be OK, but I would keep the guest list strictly small, just family and really close friends.

She should definitely have a shower. She had a boy before, and girls require different things. Plus, she is having twins! She should celebrate!

I didn't even know there was a rule. You get to have a shower for each pregnancy or child. Unless you are Octomom, or something

I think unless there's a several year difference between pregnancies, you only get one. I think having one for each kid is rude. You can use the same crap
twice - especially if it's only been a year and a half.

I would say a shower would be fine.. she's going to be needing a lot of things she didn't need the first time around (and double of some!). Invite
people and if they don't wanna show, they don't show.

Tell her it's a bad idea and then give her a surprise baby shower.

She would still need at least one extra of things like a car seat and such. |

invited guests will decide if it's a worthwhile cause. there isn't really the need to justify it.

I have always heard a baby shower for different genders. So, if you have a boy and then a girl have two baby showers, but don't have three if you have
three baby boys in a row.

What if you think you are done and you get divorced and then remarried and your new husband wants kids?

I think it's perfectly fine to have a shower for each pregnancy. I plan to do this. Though, I only plan on having 2 kids... 3 at most.

I had a baby shower with both of my pregnancies. I thought it was normal to have a baby shower everytime you're expecting. Especially if it's different
sexes.
It is nice to send with the invitations everything you have left over that you plan to reuse. That way they end up getting you stuff you actually need. |

I would hate to have you as a friend. Oh yeah, bottles and nipples. Sure you could reuse them, but that is nasty who would do that unless they absolutely had too? |

A baby shower is intended to help the new parents out. She's going to need twice as much stuff this time around so I see no problem with a shower for her. |

Uh, if soemone needs that much material help(ie another car seat and such), then they probably shouldn't be having more kids.
