I was at the mall, and I walked up to the smoothie bar to order. The guy working there was on his phone (cursing up a storm, I might add) and I stood there for
a few minutes waiting to be served before he looked up and said, "We're closed for a while." So I said okay and started to walk away. Then a
woman in her thirties walks up and the guy motions "I'll be right there," to her. So I was like oh I guess they're open now. Whatever.
While he's still on the phone, the woman turns to me and says, "did he just turn you away and then offer to serve me?" And I said, "yes, I suppose he did." And she was like, "oh no, he's gonna get a mouthful."
SO. She orders and receives her drink, and then while paying says, "I would just like to say, turning away this young woman and serving me is incredibly rude." And he's all, "yeah okay whatever." She says, "Money is money, you shouldn't turn away customers. That was terrible business practice and customer service, and if I were her, I'd ask to speak to your manager." The guy gets a little pissed off and says, "Lady, don't tell me how to do my job!" And she's like, "Don't raise your voice at me! I'm a lawyer, and I could make a case for discrimination for this girl!" Then they both start yelling at each other and I was standing there like
I decided that I didn't want a smoothie anymore and even if I did, I probably wasn't going to get served any time soon, so I walked away and neither of them noticed.
For all I know, they're still fighting.
