Something about orgasms being the best way to feel god and stuff like that.

All That Jaz wrote:Even if he did, he didn't write the song. Leonard Cohen wrote it. |

^Ok, thanks. That's why I was wondering lol Maybe that's just Jeff's way of interpreting it. lol To me it's such a sad, semi-depressing song;
it's not really about 'feeling good' so I find that whole theory a bit odd. It just doesn't seem to fit; lyrically.

Jeff Buckley wins for this song, but I've always wanted to hear Imogen do this song fully with backing instruments. I feel like she could kill Jeff's
version personally.

Jeff Buckley's version is the best one I've heard so far. The emotion in his voice was just great. And James Franco is supposed to be playing him in an
upcoming biopic.

Buckley's is the best... hands down. He usually does covers better than their originals. Amazing vocalist and guitarist.
I'm listening to his cover of Velvet Underground's "All Tomorrow's Parties" for the first time... good stuff.

All That Jaz wrote:One verse is... Well there was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show that to me, do you? But remember when I moved in you And the holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah I can't really interpret the rest of the song. I would like to think I know what it is about, but I'm pretty sure I don't. lol |
