They're everywhere. I took out the garbage, compost and got rid of everything on the counter and cleaned with disinfecting wipes and Lysol...but I forgot
my strawberry wafer cookies. The fuckers were INSIDE the package eating my cookies. I just chucked them in the garbage but now I'm thinking that probably
wasn't a good idea.

Take an old drinking glass and put a piece of banana in the bottom. Then cover the glass with plastic wrap. Poke some small holes in the plastic wrap (like,
with a pen or something) and set it on the counter. Fruit flies can go in, but they can't get out.
You'll have to change it every few days, but it's worth it!! And you get the joy of drowning them later  We have been doing that for a few weeks and
they're pretty much all gone now!!

I usually put a bowl of red wine vinegar out and then a little drop of dishwashing liquid in it. They fly in and then the dishwashing liquid makes it to
slippery for them to get out.
