Abortions are expensive as hell, and are not covered by any health insurance.
A box of condoms is much cheaper, for future reference.
This is horrible, but within the first month or so...

chocolate covered raisins wrote:She didn't ask. You tend to offer information that no one asked for a lot. It's really fucking annoying. Shit happens you know...you don't know if she used a condom. STFU please. You have to be either six or eight weeks along, I can't remember. I don't know where you're located but here in Canada, it's free. Most of the trouble is travelling to find a doctor. There are different options though, the pill may be cheaper and you might be able to do that if you're not far along enough for the surgical procedure (if you're in the US...it's illegal in Canada). Just do some research, call around, see what's best. |

You have to be around 6 and a half to 7 weeks to get the abortion.

Hey I know this isn't what this thread is about, but I'm sorry you're in this situation. It must be no fun to have to make a decision like this.

Aren't there other lesser known options if you are really early in your pregnancy? I remember learning in my human sexual biology class that there is a
method that involves basically "hosing" down the uterus and shedding the endometrial lining so that if anything is attached it leaves. Maybe they
don't do that anymore though.

My friends was $400 but a co-worker paid something like $300/350 for hers. $300-500 seems like the average though.

Wow.. I thought abortion would cost more than that. I always figured $1000-2000.

My insurance (Kaiser) covers it...you just have to pay the co-pay, which is usually about $10-$20. I think they just send you to PP because they don't do
it at the hospital.
