You'll be fine taking them out yourself.
Hell, when I had my csection, one of my staples was crooked and pulling really tight so I had my husband take it out. I'm still alive. (I had the remainder of them pulled out at the doctor, I was just in so much pain one night I couldn't take it.) |

my cousin did it for me, but she's a nurse.
I didn't have health insurance at the time I got the stitches. Go figure, cut myself so bad I need stitches one month before my health insurance kicked in! |

I had two stitches once and went back to the dr. to get them removed and she was actually surprised that I didn't do it myself. Personally...I don't
think I could handle that, but definitely fine to do I think.
