We had a thread like this recently. I feed mine Science Diet.
Long thread short, do not feed your dog anything you can buy at a regular grocery store. Do not feed your dog anything that looks cute/like people food (i.e. cute little pieces of meat, dog bone shapes, peas, etc.). |

Royal Canin Mini Special. I wish he'd eat something holistic, but he's SO picky.

We buy a brand called Pride from our local feed store because it is 28% protein.

I was feeding him canidae, but that's so expensive, I had to switch to authority's best, and sometimes newman's own organic.
basically, I read the ingredients, try to get something with meat as the first or at very least, second ingredient (and not "meal", if I can avoid it), and never get anything with corn in it. |

Damnit, I feed my dogs Science Diet too.
Ok, I'm really gonna have to research organic foods for dogs. Thank you! |

And don't switch your puppy to a new food cold turkey! He'll get the shits!

Is this why he's sitting next to me farting right now and I want to die?

Inova EVO for senior dogs. Wellness is also a good brand.
Dog owners, do NOT buy grocery store dog food (Purina, Pedigree, etc.) www.dogfoodanalysis.com has good information. |

Blue Buffalo
Read this for a list of good food: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2113296 And yes, Science Diet is crap and expensive to boot. |

I've always fed my dog Purina One. Although the dog kennal/pet supply store I work at sells Wysong. I had never heard of it before but apparently its
really good dog food. It just may be hard to find.

Where do y'all find food for your pets at? It's not good to buy from Petsmart, Petco, definitely not any grocery store, is what we're concluding
to?
I don't know any other places in Denver yet |

Petco sells Wellness, I guess it just depends on what food you're looking for.

Petsmart carries a few decent brands, including Blue Buffalo. Petco carries several good brands.
A lot of the ultra premium foods are hard to find and it really depends on your area. My friend feeds her dogs Taste of the Wild which is one of the best foods you can get. She lives in the middle of nowhere but they sell it at the local feed store because people feed it to actual working cattle and ranch dogs. |

If you're having trouble finding a higher quality brand you can always buy online.

Nothing brought from the store.
I cook my dogs food myself. |
