Fatima (choreographer) took this pic of Aaliyah taking a nap on the boat a few hours before she died
The last picture of the group when they were on their way to the airport

I loved that in her diary she said how when she's long gone she wanted legacy to be that she was a full on entertainer and a good person. She couldnt have
known what would happen but it's not a general statement people answer and the fact that she did it so soon before she passed is unbelievable.

She was and still is one of my most favorite female artists ever. I remember my sister telling me about her death and I couldn't/didn't believe it. She
was my idol as a teenager. I remember first seeing her performing Age Ain't Nothing but a Numba on All That.
RIP.

The night she died, I went to see that horrible movie Summer Catch w/Freddie Prinze Jr and Jessica Biel.
RIP

I was never a big fan of her music, but I remember watching her Diary episode on MTV and thinking she was just really likable. She seemed like a lot of fun.
I think she died just a couple of weeks after that and she happened to be on the Teen People cover at the time. |

She was so gorgeous and talented. Beautiful pics.
I can't believe it's been 8 years already.
I agree that if she were around, none of these female artists now could touch her. |

I can't believe it's been 8 years already. It was really sad b/c she was just starting really tap into her potential with her work on the Matrix to
her superb last album which I STILL bump to this day. She was on the superstar track for sure....I miss her a lot.

Eric (the one she was singing with and was on the rollercoaster) passed with her as well.
