Tuscany is a general region in Rome, not a single city. Florence is actually part of Tuscany but is more of a city rather than your typical Tuscan countryside.
It's not close to Rome by it's not far, a few hours drive.
Anyone been to Italy?

Ok, so Tuscany (which encompasses Florence) can be done along with Florence activities?

What I'm essentially asking is if Tuscany is far out of the way from the typical tourist places.

When I traveled by bus we passed through Tuscany. The whole countryside. When I wasn't sleeping, what I saw was beautiful.
