GUYS!!!! I just got done watching and WOW!! They nailed this season opener on so many levels. I talked back to my TV so many times tonight.
From "Oh.
Bobby don't say that!" to "Aww, Dean."
I think Rachel Minor should be the example for EVERY actor that comes on and is playing a demon we previously knew. She did her homework and completely made me believe she was Meg, without a hiccup. I hope the fandom embrace her and show the people at the show that no, we're not all dumb fangirls who don't want any actress near our boys. We know good performances when we see them, as much as we know bad ones. And I wholeheartedly agree with what Stacy said about Dean not understanding Sam. Here's my issue, too. Sure, Sam was all kinds of fucked up and did so many things to betray Dean's trust but who broke the first seal? Huh?! WHO, DEAN?! If you ask me, they're equally responsible and equally messed up in the head. Random question...did they say that Bobby wasn't gonna walk again? AND WTF did Diddy do on Twitter to rile Misha up? |

I have a lot to say. but i've put off taken my pain pills for the last two hours, my knee is not liking me.
BUT. i have to say, i was shocked alot in this epp. i ment from hating bobby, to wanting to cry for him. and wanting to hug dean and sam. then wanting to slap them both. but i know what eric said, so am not worried at all. i think they learned a lot from last season, sorry for the typos. but yeah am about dead |

ugh, i typed up this whole thing and then the dang internet deleted it so i'll just say this:
i was underwhelmed. i didn't like it nearly as much as the openers for previous seasons, i didn't think it was necessary for dean to continue sparring back and forth with the angels. to me, its not funny, its just counterproductive. i dont particularly care for the whole "castiel killing other angels" thing. why? for what purpose? i mean i get it but i dont want it. its unnecessary to me for them to take the character that way. had they simply stuck with bobby being so pissed at sam that he asked him to lose his number, i would have been happy with that. it would add something to the story. and i dont like this whole "oh i didnt mean what i said because i was possessed/drunk/sad/etc." they've carried that idea over a few seasons as a cop out for the characters getting their feelings out. sam SHOULD be viewed negatively for what he did. there's nothing wrong with bobby being pissed about that. and dean has a right to be pissed at sam too. the last 5 minutes were redeeming but overall it wasnt my cup of tea. the whole "dean is michael's vessel" thing was talked up in the fandom and i dont dig it. why cant they just hire another actor to play michael? and i dont get the whole thing with the sword. so the sword is metaphorical? ooook. eh. collectively underwhelmed. |

For us as viewers it's been months since the season ended. But for the characters it's literally only been days since everything went down. As the
season progresses you might see Dean change in the way he is with the angels. You might not. But I took from the premiere that they were picking up right where
they left off. And for Dean and Castiel - they're freaking PISSED at the other Angels right now.
