I gotta say, maybe I'm just a prude. The first few times it was said, it was funny, but do we have to hear "Douche", "Douchebag" and
"Dick" multiple times every episode now? It started last season, being said a lot and I dunno. Maybe I am a prude.

Oh, and:
SAM CARESSED DEAN'S CLAVICLE. LET THE WANK COMMENCE! You know people are bitching right now |

New Meg talks kinda funny and does some strange thing with her mouth. Those are my only complaints about her so far. Oh, and the fact that I've seen her
naked keeps popping into my head.
I do wish Nikki could've come back b/c nobody does Meg like she does. |

yeah i guess. i dont know. i'm feeling a little let down. its like when a cute boyfriend forgets your birthday. you're still cute but these flowers
aint cuttin it
i get the whole continuation for the story and maybe its because i havent read the spoilers (i know, i know castiel: i have trouble finding vessels that will hold me and dean says something to the effect of "i have that same problem with women" AND THEY COMPLETELY CUT THAT OUT! not because it was funny but because it was a particularly serious moment and it didnt need the dirty humor or the sarcasm. i felt the same way about that whole conversation with zecariah. it doesnt need to be dumbed down with snark. dean has a right to be pissed and i doubt any pissed off adult, no matter how sarcastic they are, is going to stop and think of a witty way of calling someone an asshole. literally within 2 minutes of convo we got asshat, douche and like one other one. why? he's pissed, he shouldn't be funny. i'm sorry, i feel like i'm ranting. i'm not hating on this ep as hard as it sounds, i promise |

Seriously. Like the stuff they've gone through in a matter of days time is mind boggling. When they mentioned that Dean might be Michael's vessel (and
I think the fandom toyed with Sam being Lucifer's, too?) I went "WHOA! So he's gonna play a freaking archangel?!" I think it'd be awesome
to see Jensen take that one on. I got excited for a second about that.
It was absolutely a roller coaster for Sam as he went from being so sad that Bobby wrote him off to being happy that he said he wouldn't to a few mins later his brother saying they'd never be the same. I also, can't wait to see how they develop it. I think this could quite possibly, for a little while, be the big blowup they alluded to happening last season cause the little fights they got into before didn't mean jack compared to this. Imagine a betrayal you go through with a sibling and then imagine the world possibly coming to an end over the fact that said sibling you've given your LIFE for not trusting you? Shoot, Dean has every right to feel the way he does. And Cas actually being God's badass angel? I think it's pretty awesome because all those others thought they had power but Cas is holding far more than they even imagined...especially for being so disobedient. Jasmine, playing devil's advocate...where would you have liked to seen the premiere go? |

i honestly didnt hate the entire direction it went. really, i didnt. i just would have had bobby actually mean what he said to sam. i would have kept dean
being upset with sam. i would have kept sam apologizing and feeling guilty. i would have kept castiel being put back together and coming back again. but to me,
meg was introduced WAYYYYY to early. that could have been in a third or fourth episode. and the whole banter between zecariah (i swear i'm spelling that
wrong) and dean would have just been minimal. or rather, without asshat, douche, dick, etc. i liked the whole thing with the guy being possessed by the devil
and would have probably showed a little more of that. i definitely would not make it that dean is michael's chosen vessel. ABSOLUTELY NOT. thats just
boring and i dont see that ending well. i think jensen is a fine actor and could pull it off tremendously but dont even wanna go there. have a separate michael
and a separate dean. and i'd cut dean's whole speech to bobby or rather, i'd have bobby say it and leave dean contemplating on it. because again,
his attitude is now completely counterproductive.
so i really wouldn't change much except for some noticeable tweaks. |

Speaking of Lucifer's vessel. I totally want to high five whoever came up with the concept of Lucifer taking over the body of someone who is essentially
angry with God. I just thought that was genius.

I agree with you about the banter and ill placed jokes. They were funny in previous seasons but shit just got real and it's not the time for little jokes.
I get that.
I'm actually opposite on the dude being possessed by Lucifer thing. I could've done with LESS of them showing him over and over. The final scene with Lucifer luring him as his dead wife was the best part. I was like "Just possess him already!" I actually do like that Lucifer and Michael have to have permission to possess someone. And I don't think Sam could've taken having BOTH Bobby and Dean be the way they were with him. I think it was well played that he felt good in the moment that Bobby told him he was still there for him and then BOOM! Slap in the face, the one person that means the most to him tells him he's disappointed in him and doesn't trust him. Sam can't feel a bigger hurt than that, right now. |

yeah i thought that was great. and i liked the soft voiced woman kind of luring him to the devil (kinda of adam and eve ish story). i'm interested to see
how mark plays him because everything i've seen him in, he's been great at being kind of sneaky and suspicious.

i can see that point, nikki, about sam. and i think thats why they went there. but for bobby to say it would show just how wrong sam was there. i just look at
bobby as being the real moral compass of the show and saying "YOU STUPID ASS, LOSE MY NUMBER!" would have just been the nail in sam's coffin. but
then, i guess i'm still mad at sam for taking up with ruby. ugh.
did anyone else cringe and groan at the mere mention of ruby? i was lik UGH, DON'T EVEN MENTION SHE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED! sam's dead to me right now. |

Yeah, it really made me go "Oh! I get it" about the title. I love the way that they're shaking up everyone's image of angels and now Lucifer.

i kinda dug it. and i like mark's acting. and he completely looks like a schlepy drunk so i bought it.
i like the directions of the angels but then i kind of don't. because i get the sneaking suspicion that the whole angel badness storyline was done to redeem ruby in some way. or rather, to throw people off her track. maybe not fully, but partially. because if you remember, the whole thing from kripke was all "OH RUBY'S A DEMON AND SHE'S HELPING AND THE ANGELS ARE DICKS! SEE WHAT WE DID THERE?" and its just kind of like, eh. i like them kicking ass and i like them not putting up with shit but lets not let the train go off the tracks. somebody has to be the guiding force of good and if thats supposed to be castiel, great. if its supposed to be michael or dean or michael!dean, great. but giving me zechariah (is that how you spell it?) and uriel and saying they're dicks is like...ugh. why are they dicks? they need to be justified in being dicks. thats what makes people interesting. this is the same shit they went through with bella with just making her a one dimensional character and they ended up having to throw in the molestation story at the end to redeem her. i just get worried because i'm like there's soooooooooo much meat to this story and we don't need to be congratulating ourselves on our witty rejoinders and devil-may-care attitude. because i seriously doubt that dean is selfish and self-righteous enough to really think what he's doing is for the greater good. thats not who this character is and we dont need to see him stick to a principle thats completely full of shit. |

Well, I went through so many emotions watching this. I was seriously saddened by the end though...poor Sam. That did not seem too optimistic for me,
Kripke...And yes, it seems that everyone is forgetting DEAN BROKE THE FIRST SEAL!!! When Zachariah said to Sam at Chuck's house about him starting it, I
thought, "Whateves...you know that Dean broke the first seal, so he started stared it..."
And while I'm all for the two of them having a sort of falling out
(afterall, Sam did choke his brother), I really need them to find a way back to each other rather shortly...cause
it's their relationship that makes the show for me.
Also, what happened to the cell phone voicemail Dean gave Sam...are we to believe it never happened because Sam heard something different? Do you all think it will be addressed sometime in the future? I'm not sure I like Dean being Michael's vessel either. I remember when fans started to suspect it, I thought, "no, Kripke wouldn't do that." But I guess I underestimated him and the writers... I like
that Dean is human and I don't want to see that change by having him possessed. I hope that in the end, he just kills Lucifer as Dean, not Michael!Dean.
I agree with Jasmine...get another guy to play Michael...leave Dean as Dean and that's that.
When Bobby stabbed himself I literally grasped out loud. And then I had flashbacks to Devil's Trap, when John stopped YED from killing Dean....very nicely done. Jim Beaver did say there was gonna be a change to his character...I guess that meant wheelchair!Bobby.
Meg was great. While I did notice the voice thing, I'll just chalk it up to it being the vessel's voice...maybe the vessel had a lisp... When Sam immediately said "Meg" I thought, "yeah, smart Sam is
gonna make a comeback!"
Yeah for Badass!Cas. That was cool. And I believe he was killing them with Lucifer's sword, too. I'm still not sure I want a whole lot of Cas though...we'll see how it plays.
As for the fangirl...

OK... I think I'm gonna watch it again and take notes, as I was watching it with friends and just blurted stuff out... we'll see. In the meantime,
I'm going to try and remember off the top of my head and also go off of what you all have said.
The opener, as a whole, I really loved it. It feels like our show is BACK. (granted, we want our music back too, but the old skool feel was there). I also really liked a few of the camera angles. That is in, no way, undermining Kim Manners' work. But some of them were nicely done. My friend and I were thinking that, maybe, Cas is either Michael or God. I believe we were told that God was going to make an appearance this season... and who better to resurrect Castiel than God himself? We'll see where Kripke is taking it... Not to mention the LOOK on Zachariah's face when Castiel showed up. He's never been shaken by him before. Just a thought... I dunno. Zachariah is doing a great job at pissing me off. lol. I think he's just so damn bitter that God favors humans to angels and he's rebelling this way. (again, could totally be way off) He needs to be taught a lesson and fast. OH! ... and Dean remembering the symbol Cas made in "Heaven's waiting room" and copying that... brilliant. Fanfiction girl had me DYING. I knew what she was writing and I love that they make fun of The Crazy. (and I noticed a little bit of it being directed at some that attend the cons. Maybe I'm wrong. But I don't think so. lol) "I know the difference between fantasy and reality..." and simply telling Sam, "No." when he asked her to stop touching him. Priceless. Her comment about the angels and the demons and how the demon thing was getting old... I don't know any other show that pays as close attention to its fanbase than ours does. "We" (and I use the term loosely) may be the brunt of some jokes... but it's all true and what a compliment that is to include your viewers into your show. Love, love, love. I agree about new!Meg. She knew how to play Meg. Where I miss Nikki, this girl did her homework and it showed on screen. Props to her. The scene with Bobby shocked me a little. I was like, whoa. Of course, Kripke WANTED us to say that and I totally didn't see it coming, even though I thought his comment about losing his number was a tad strange, I went with it. You go, Kripke. You had me for a moment there. Where it was disturbing to see Bobby as a demon, I guess it was his turn. lol. I also agree with those who said they like that Lucifer and Michael must ask permission for possession. I think that's a nice, intelligent twist. And thumbs up to how they got him to be Lucifer. Using the dead wife and convincing him his loss was all God's fault and use guilt and blame to force a "yes" out of him... also brilliant. I have never thought of myself as immature, but I still find the Dean one-liner's amusing. I can, however, see how one would feel that it's a tad bit overkill. I'm just so used to it. It's so Dean. Or maybe it's because I'm not all that witty when certain situations call for it and I envy that about him. (can I have writers please? lol) I will have to watch again to come to a conclusion about Bobby and his legs. I thought he might have been healed when Sam and Dean were. I could have missed something as I was laughing while Bobby yelled at the orderly. OK... I'm becoming extremely long-winded. I'm just SO excited and happy that our show is back. And I'm sure I've missed some points I wanted to make. lol. But I do want to add that they BETTER win SOME sort of acting award this year. They NAIL every. damn. emotion thrown at them without fail. You see what they're feeling in their eyes, their face... their bodies. They're IN that moment and they take you there. They're completely believable and these committees need to SEE that. /rant. Whew!! Is it Thursday again yet?

Not bad for a season premiere. Once again, Dean had the best lines. The Cate Blanchett & angel condom comments made me laugh.
Had a feeling Bobby was possessed. Something seemed off about him in his mannerisms. What Zacariah did was nuts. "How about we heal you from...stage-4 stomach cancer?" That was sick. Gotta say that Dean was real brave standing up to him like that. Most people probably would've shit themselves & said "Yes" at that point. I loved Rachel Miner as Meg. I always thought she was a decent actress, going all the way back to "Bully". perrvy hobbit fancier wrote: Thanks! |

Why would any Dean fan want him to be the vessel of Michael?
If Michael takes him over then Dean is GONE. He'd be a totally different character. We saw that with Castiel and Jimmy. What Dean fan would not want Dean to be Dean? Think about it.
